Jakarta Education Department Launches Siji Sisisi Application

Jakarta Education Department (Disdik) launches new application called Siji Sisisi, which stands for Integrated Competency Certification Test System. This application is launched to accelerate implementation of vocational school (SMK) revitalization through certification of competence.

Jakarta Education Department Acting Head (Plt) stated, revitalization on SMK becomes the main focus in Jakarta Governor's work program, especially related to vocational education.

"We want all SMK graduates to be absorbed optimally," he mentioned at Jakarta Disdik Office, Jalan Jenderal Gatot Subroto, Setiabudi, South Jakarta, Monday (10/21).

He explained, Siji Sisisi is expected to accelerate certification process starts from competence assessment registration, assessment process, administrative and financing effectiveness, and transparency in Professional Certification Institute (LSP) B1.

"Moreover, we expect this system to give more benefits such as data of competent student collected from the competency test results and standardization of vocational education administration in DKI Jakarta," he explained.

According to him, Siji Sisisi application facilitates Jakarta Disdik to obtain data quickly and accurately that is used as a basis for decision making and it has database as basis for preparing program, activities, and budgeting.

Hopefully this system can give benefits in improving service quality of vocational education in Jakarta," he added.

Meanwhile, Jakarta Disdik's Data, Technology, Communication, and Information Center Head, Suharno mentioned, this system is provided in form of web and application that can be downloaded in smartphones.

"This application makes it more efficient and effective in implementing certification test," he said.

Other benefits, he continued, is to assist organization or industrial business to convince their clients that their products or services are made by competent personnel.

Besides, it also helps organization or industrial business to recruit based on competency, as well as educational quality assurance tools that tells the learning objectives have been achieved.

"This certification later also can be used to help developing learning evaluations, plan career paths, and provide personal branding for entrepreneurial goals," he asserted.
