Jakarta Provincial Government continues to improve the quality of education thus all children in Jakarta get quality education in schools, madrasas, and other educational institutions.
One of them is by providing and improving adequate educational facilities. Therefore, the city cooperates with the New Zealand Embassy through a forum for ASN Professionalism Workshops for Educators in Jakarta, located at Jakarta Education Agency Office Building, South Jakarta.
Commemorating Teachers Day, Saefullah Leads Pilgrimage at MH Thamrin GraveJakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan hoped that the principals and educators could continue to improve their competence and experience in order to make leaders, educators who are capable, empowered and cultured.
"If the principal is great leadership, the school will be great. So I hope you learn, you take the main values in leadership. We want opportunities like this to be used for learning," he expressed, as quoted by the Jakarta Provincial PPID press release, Tuesday (6/25).
He appreciates the workshop that aims to educate them to gain knowledge about competency development related to the leadership of the principal, development of school management related to the development of education, and an overview of the education system in New Zealand.
"I am grateful that we have a partner who will give material that is proven to have succeeded in advancing their community through education. I want you to use this opportunity as one source of learning. We must educate them for the future. So we must be ready to become the future," he told.
Jakarta Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDM) Acting Head, Lutfi Arifin explained that it will be held from June 25-27 at 8 AM-4 PM, located at Ki Hajar Dewantara Auditorium, Jakarta Education Agency.
The workshop attended by participants under Education Agency;
a. 300 principals consist of 154 elementary schools (SD), 116 senior high schools (SMA) and 30 vocational schools (SMK), for the first workshop
b. 300 principals consist of 300 junior high schools (SMP), for the second workshop
c. 150 officials under Education Agency, for the third workshop
Those who attend in the workshop are New Zealand Deputy Ambassador to Indonesia, Naomi Kyriakopoulos; Assistant Regional Secretary for People's Welfare, Catur Laswanto; Jakarta Education Agency Head, Ratiyono; Jakarta BPSDM Acting Head, Lutfi Arifin; and Workshop Speakers from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, Brenda Mary Service and David Allan Crabbe.
