PT Jakpro Still Delinquent the Land and Building Tax

The level of public awareness to pay the land and building tax (PBB) is still very low. Evidently, until now, many taxpayers, especially developers in South Jakarta which have not fulfill its obligations. Hence, South Jakarta Administration will act decisively by making difficult all matters relating to licensing. 

In Kebayoran Baru Sub-District, many developers including PT Jakarta Propertindo and Widya Chandra Setneg have yet to pay off the PBB. Then I will send a letter to Jakarta Vice Governor to give them warning

"In Kebayoran Baru Sub-District, many developers including PT Jakarta Propertindo and Widya Chandra Setneg have yet to pay off the PBB. Then I will send a letter to Jakarta Vice Governor to give them warning," expressed South Jakarta Deputy Mayor, Tri Djoko, Wednesday (9/10).

City Gives Waivers in PBB Payment

Djoko explained the developers' debt is very much and some have not paid more than 2 years. "To give deterrent effect, licensing process will be made difficult," he asserted.

At this time, he furthered, his side is studying the civil law aspects related with PBB payment. Thus, in the future, in term of the processing of all documents, each taxpayer must also submit proof of the PBB payment. "We learn the civil law aspects in the local government. So, there must be fiscal information in any management," he explained.

Based on temporary results in some urban village, debt of PBB payment is pretty much. "In each urban villages, taxpayers must pay PBB more than Rp 50 million. Totally, the debt could reach Rp 800 million-Rp 20 billion. Can you imagine that? Therefore, we will encourage the Sub-District Local Tax Services Unit (UPPD) to be more active," he uttered.

Director of PT Jakarta Propertindo, Budi Karya Sumadi, did not answer phone calls and reply short message via cell phone when being confirmed on this matter.
