Online Marketing Training Given to Entrepreneurs in Lancang Island

As many 40 entrepreneurs in Lancang Island, Pari Island Urban Village, South Thousand Islands, are educated by Thousand Island Technical Unit (UKT) 2 to sell their products through online system at urban village office's hall.

We teach them to use social media as an effective way to sell their products

Thousand Islands UKT 2's Cooperative and Small Medium Enterprises Section Head, Mardiastuti mentioned, participants are merchants who sell breadfruit chips, salted fish, anchovy, and fresh fish. In this activity, they are trained, assisted, and educated about entrepreneurship to improve their production and marketing.

"We teach them to use social media as an effective way to sell their products," she said, Tuesday (10/29).

50 Artisans in Thousand Islands Given an Understanding of Online Marketing

According to her, development in information technology requires people to keep following up the updated information and innovations, in this case is related to marketing.

"Besides, residents wants government to provide more inter-island transportation service thus their social economy activities can grow faster," she conveyed.
