Next Month, Revitalization of Setu Babakan Zone A and C is Targeted to Complete

This year, Jakarta Tourism and Culture Department (Disparbud) revitalizes Zone A and C of Setu Babakan Betawi Cultural Village in Jagakarsa, South Jakarta. This project is targeted to finish in December 2019.

It is important to improve facilities in Zone A

Jakarta Disparbud's Cultural Art Department Head, Gumilar Ekalaua mentioned, Rumah Kebaya (Kebaya House) at Zone A is being revitalized and its current process to reach around 60 percent.

"Rumah Kebaya will be used for manager's office," he added, Monday (11/5).

Besides, there is also continuation of Multipurpose Building construction in Zone A which is currently in finishing stage.

"It is important to improve facilities in Zone A," he asserted.

Meanwhile at Zone C, his side revitalizes Betawi House Replica that is located in the middle of Setu Babakan Lake. His side is now focusing on working on the landscape and mechanical electrical (ME).

"Betawi House Replica at Zone C will be used for education tour where people can gain knowledge about Betawi history and development from time to time," he conveyed.

Related to the construction process of this Betawi House Replica, now it has reached 90 percent.

"Revitalization in Zone A and C is targeted to complete next month," he informed.
