Tanjung Pasir - Untung Jawa Island's Undersea Cables Inaugurated

The Thousand Islands Regency and State Electricity Company (PLN), inaugurated the use of undersea electrical cable circuit II Tanjung Pasir - Untung Jawa Island.

This is a special gift for Thousand Islands' 18th Anniversary

Thousand Islands Vice Regent, Junaedi mentioned, underwater electrical cable has length 5,485 meters that is used to increase electricity supply capacity in Thousand Islands.

"This is a special gift for Thousand Islands' 18th Anniversary," he stated, Wednesday (11/13).

PD. Dharma Jaya Plans to Supply Meat to Thousand Islands

Besides providing electricity in 10 inhabited islands, it is also expected to support Sebira Island and resort islands that still depend on diesel generators.

PLN Jakarta Raya Main Distribution Unit General Manager, M. Ikhsan Asaad conveyed, with its capacity up to 20 kilo volt (KV), it can support Thousand Islands to accelerate its development.

"We expect tourism sector here can develop and advance," he asserted.

As for the information, the PLN also provides free health service for 200 residents of Untung Jawa Island.
