Thousand Islands Vice Regent Juanedi is about to conduct various activities that prioritize local culture in the commemoration of the Thousand Islands' 18th anniversary, which falls on 9 November.

According to him, the event can be filled by holding free medical check-up treatment for the citizens, displaying artistic and cultural creations, various kinds of competitions for the state civil apparatus (ASN), holding a nuanced marine competition for residents, so on.

Especially for ASN, he proposed a Thousand Islands singing competition, which was popular in the 70s by a singer artist, Tety Kadi.

"Hopefully it can also attract tourists to come to Thousand Islands," he hoped.
