Here are Priority Steps in North Jakarta to Face the Rainy Season

The North Jakarta Administration has three priority steps to face the upcoming rainy season. They are by alerting personnel, involving all parties and mapping the location of shelters for people affected by flooding.

Hopefully it can be run optimally according to their respective roles

North Jakarta Vice Mayor Ali Mualana Hakim said these steps are the result of evaluation of handling in the previous year. To optimize it, all related working units (UKPD), regional heads and community must play a role to anticipate unwanted things.

"Hopefully it can be run optimally according to their respective roles," he said, Thursday (11/21).

He asserted each personnel must have adequate equipment while on duty, including safety-supporting equipment.

Aside that, the regional heads and SKPD must understand the steps that will be taken when a disaster occurs. That is by collaborating with the community so they can play a role in facing this rainy season.

"The shelter locations must also be mapped from now," he closed.
