March-Mid November 2019, MRT Jakarta's Net Profit Reaches Rp 60 Billion

After officially operated, PT. MRT Jakarta recorded the net profit from March to mid of November 2019 is around Rp 60 billion from total income of more than Rp 1 trillion.

Next year, we are targeting to collect non-ticket income around Rp 200-250 billion

PT. MRT Jakarta President Director, William Sabandar mentioned, his side calculated its total income because debt of MRT development is not charged to the corporation.

He informed, MRT's income is more than Rp 1 trillion which is collected from public service obligation (PSO/subsidy) as much as Rp 560 billion, then income outside of ticket selling is Rp 180 billion, profit from non-ticket is Rp 225 billion and former bank interest of Rp 40 billion.

"From total income around Rp 1 trillion, we spend Rp 940 billion for operational and others. Thus our net profit is around Rp 60 billion," he stated at his office, Wednesday (11/27).

According to him, the highest income was collected from non-ticket or non-firebox. It consists of 2 percent from telecommunication, 55 percent from ads, 1 percent from retail, and 13 percent from naming rights.

 

"Next year, we are targeting to collect non-ticket income around Rp 200-250 billion. Then in 2021 is around Rp 300-350 billion. With this amount, we hope it can give dividend to the government," he asserted.
