All chairmen and legislators of Jakarta Council (DPRD) 2019-2024 period participated in technical coaching (Bimtek) about legislative' functions and main tasks (Tupoksi) at a hotel located in Central Jakarta.

In this Bimtek, legislators will be taught about budgeting, monitoring, and legislation functions

Jakarta DPRD Vice Chairman, Mohammad Taufik explained, it is held for three days or on December 1-3, 2019 according to the Consultative Board (Bamus)'s decision on November 13, 2019.

"It is a part of our obligation, because in this Bimtek, legislators will be taught about budgeting, monitoring, and legislation functions," he explained, Monday (12/2).

In this Bimtek, his side has been cooperating with Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University and state high institutions that are partners of Jakarta Governments such as Ministry of House Affairs (Kemendagri), Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) and Jakarta Government's representatives.

"There are many subject materials that can be applied by legislators, such as mechanism in reading regional financial reports that should be completed with an overview of BUMD financial statements," he conveyed.

Meanwhile, Commission E Vice Chairman, Anggara Wicitra Sastroamidjojo said, Bimtek is needed to improve Jakarta DPRD chairmen and legislators' performance.

"It is great and gives many benefits, especially for me because I am the new legislator in Jakarta," he stated.
