Seven Firefighters Receive Honorable Award

Seven firefighters of Jakarta Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Agency, received an award plaque after honoring the Indonesian people in the '2019 Singapore Global Firefighters and Paramedics Challenge (SGFPC)' last November, on Monday (12/9).

It means they can be reliable at the Asian level

The award was directly handed over by the Jakarta Fire and Rescue Agency Acting Head Subejo.

Those firefighers were namely Imbang Satria, Hotto Lumban Gaol, Jatiur Sinaga, Nurhidayat, Junaidi, Supriyanto and Suradi. They managed to get the The Best Management Team title in INSARAG and CSSR with a total of seven medals.

On that occasion, he expressed it proved that the firefighters' skills in handling fire and rescue need not be doubted.

"It means they can be reliable at the Asian level, surely we are not inferior to other countries. And now it's just how we do coaching and motivate them to practice," he stated.

He went on to say that the types of competitions competed in this event were the same as training and education routinely held by the Gulkarmat.

"That has become a routine activity, as we need to improve our skills to be better," he continued.

It was a form of appreciation for their achievements, as well as motivating other firefighters to be more active in practicing skills.

As for the information, in the last year's SGFC event, his agency has managed to grab 12 medals, with details 6 medals of International Search and Rescue Advisory Group (Insarag), 2 medals of Mix Braveheart and 4 medals of Race for Responders.
