We'll remain demolish illegal buildings on the riverbank
"We'll remain demolish illegal buildings on the riverbank," asserted Basuki while answering a request from two representatives of Sekretaris River citizens on 2nd floor of City Hall Building, Tuesday (9/16).
He acknowledged he has received a letter of Jakarta Legal Aid Institute (LBH) regarding postponement for demolishment of hundreds of buildings on the banks of Secretary River.
Sekretaris River Normalization Targeted to Finish in a Month"I receive a letter from Jakarta LBH two weeks ago prior to demolishment towards illegal buildings on Wednesday. The point is they ask me to postpone it. So, before doing demolishment, there must be socialization first," he asserted
He admitted, Jakarta Provincial Government also gave solution related with demolishment by relocating buildings owners to the flat. Unfortunately, it is often refused by citizens who have been claiming to have a building on the land.
"If you (citizens) have Jakarta ID card and affected demolishment, we will help you. But, in reality, people who have some buildings requesting more than one flat in accordance with houses that have been executed. Surely, it can't be. We just provide one unit of flat," he stressed.
