Sekretaris River Expansion Program Continued

After being hampered for eight years, Sekretaris River expansion will be started on the third or fourth week of May 2014. The river which crossing Kebon Jeruk, Kelapa Dua, Sukabumi Utara, and Sukabumi Selatan urban villages will be expanded from 3 to 4 meter to be 13 to 15 meters.

The construction begins from the land without any dispute status

West Jakarta Administration is still socializing the program and inventorying the land. Rp 10 billion budget is already prepared to buy the residents' buildings.

West Jakarta Administration, Syamsudin Lologau, said the effort is about to re-function riverbank which is fully with illegal buildings. The effort will be started from Kebon Jeruk.

"The construction begins from the land without any dispute status," said Lologau, Tuesday (5/13).

Sekretaris River expansion program is one of Jakarta Governor's flagship programs. The program aims to reduce flood and parse traffic jam. There will be a inspection trace road as alternative access from Jalan Arjuna Utara, Jalan Panjang, and Daan Mogot.
