City Gets Appreciation for Arranging Densely Populated Areas

South-South Knowledge Exchange delegations appreciate Jakarta Government for arranging the densely populated area at RW 07, Galur Urban Village, Johar Baru Sub-district, Central Jakarta.

Semarang Bappeda's Infrastructure and Environment Research and Development Sub-department Head, Muhammad Lutfi Eko Nugroho stated, his side appreciated the program carried out by Jakarta Government in managing densely populated area in Galur Urban Village.

"We appreciate Jakarta Government's efforts in arranging densely populated area in Galur Urban Village which now has been equipped with Communal IPAL, infiltration wells, RPTRA, and vertical garden," he asserted, Wednesday (122/18).

He hopes his side can implement the similar thing in Semarang such as building more public spaces in the community, RPTRA, and Maju Bersama Park (TMB).

Meanwhile, Jakarta Bappeda's City Infrastructure and Environment Department Staff, Nurul Aini explained, participants are the city delegations from 10 countries in Asia and Africa.

Currently, she added, Jakarta's RPJMD targets 200 RWs, including RW 07 of Galur Urban Village, Johar Baru Sub-district, to be arranged through Community Action Plan (CAP) program and Collaborative Implementation Program (CIP).

"Before the arrangement, we held Focus Group Discussion in 2018 to receive inputs from the locals, then we held the arrangement in 2019," she informed.
