New Year's Eve, Transjakarta Provides Free Kemayoran-Ancol Shuttle Bus

PT. Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) provides free shuttle ride for Taman Impian Jaya Ancol visitors on the New Year's Eve.

PT. Transjakarta Service and Development Director, Achmad Izzul Waro stated, his side will provide Low Entry Metrotrans since it is disabled-friendly to serve shuttle ride for 24 hours from C3 Kemayoran Parking Area to Ancol.

"Travel time from JIExpo C3 parking area to Ancol's East Entrance Gate is estimated around 20 minutes. We provide 8 buses with capacity 60 passengers and wheelchair for each bus thus it can fulfill the headway with waiting time 10 minutes per bus," he explained, Saturday (12/25).

Christmas and New Year Holiday, Ancol Presents Various New Rides

According to him, route to Ancol will be arranged in line with traffic engineering that will be applied by Transportation Department (Dishub) around Ancol in order to manage density of visitors who want to enter and exit Ancol area.

"This route passes JIExpo Kemayoran Bus Shelter, Wisma Atlet Parking Area Bus Shelter, Kemayoran Bus Shelter, and Ancol's East Gate Bus Shelter," he added.

This shuttle bus will serve Ancol visitors from December 31, 2019 at 5 AM until January 1, 2020 at 11:59 PM non-stop.

 

Besides, his side also provides other supporting routes to facilitate visitors to JIExpo thus later they can continue to Ancol using Kemayoran Shuttle Bus. Those routes are 2C with Balaikota-JIExpo route, PRJ1 with Pulogadung-JIExpo route, and PRJ3 with PGC-JIExpo route.

"But those routes charge visitors with normal tariff. We provide three buses for each routes," he stated.
