South Jakarta PMI Distributes 5,000 Liters of Fresh Water for Flood Victims

South Jakarta Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) distributes fresh water supply for flood victims who are evacuated in Pancoran Youth Sport Center (GOR) and Pengadegan Timur Public Housing (Rusunawa).

Today, we distribute 5,000 liter of fresh water

"Today, we distribute 5,000 liter of fresh water at Pancoran GOR and Pengadegan Timur Public Housing for water sanitation and hygiene practices (MCK)," said Dedet Mulyadi, South Jakarta PMI Public Relation, Tuesday (1/7).

Related to this assistance, his side also coordinated with South Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-department in order to provide the fresh water supply.

Jakarta DPRD Visits Flood Location in Semanan

"Technically, hose from water tank in PMI car will be connected to fire truck thus it can be distributed to torrent in Pancoran GOR and Pengadegan Timur Public Housing," he explained.

His side deploys 15 South Jakarta PMI personnel to help distributing water to Pengadegan. This assistance will continue to be distributed until emergency response process is complete.

"If they still need it, we will give more water," he closed.
