The PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol already has steps to anticipate tidal waves in North Jakarta coastal sea water.

By so all box culverts or drainage in Ancol area will be clean from waste

Department Head Corporate Communications for PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Rika Lestari said her side has alerted 26 water pump houses which are equipped with 48 pump units with exhaust capacity of each pump 447.1 cubic meters per minute.

"By so all box culverts or drainage in Ancol area will be clean from waste. We also check those pumps routinely to get optimal performance," she expressed, Wednesday (1/8).

She also cooperates with the Kopro Sluice Gate officers to monitor water debit, either flash water from upstream or due to tidal wave.

Taman Impian Ancol Vice President Budi Aryanto added coast guard and security officers are also alerted to monitor and oversee all visitor activities and provide periodic appeals through the sound area.

"Don't be afraid to visit A ncol, as long as you bring an umbrella or a rain coat thus your recreation remains comfortable," he stated.
