"In East Jakarta, inundation has receded but we still see 200 refugees," he continued.
He explained most of the floods in Jakarta are caused by the overflowing waters of Ciliwung River, Sunter River, Angke River, Pesanggrahan River, West Flood Canal (KBB) and tidal flooding. In addition, the government has siphoned off puddles with 478 pump units spread across 176 locations.
"22 portable pumps are also deployed there," he said.
