According to him, December-February period is the southwest monsoon season where high waves will occur at certain times in the waters of Thousand Islands.

Regarding safety, North Thousand Islands' Panggang Island fisherman, Fahmi admitted, his side always using life jacket while fishing. Especially during the southwest monsoon season.

He said that he would continue fishing at the sea while paying attention to weather condition.

"In a good weather, I can get around 20-30 kilograms mackerel tuna. But in extreme weather, I can only get 3-5 kilograms fish that is enough only for my family," he explained.
