As many as 17 members of Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD) from eight fractions monitored five pump houses spread over several city regions.
Those five pump houses were namely Kali Item, Sunter, Teluk Gong, Grogol and Cideng.
DPRD Supports City to Conduct Post-Flood HandlingThe council group leader Basri Baco assessed flood handling this year was better than last year. It could be seen in five pump houses that function optimally thus the inundation quickly recedes.
"During monitoring, we did not see any flooding. From the information we receive, inundation in Kemayoran area is not high and has receded," he expressed, in Sunter Pump House, North Jakarta, Monday (1/13).
Meanwhile, Jakarta Water Resources West Stream Field Head Ciko Tricanescoro uttered each pump house had a minimum of six pumps with 1,000 liters per second capacity.
"Our men are already trained and ready for duty. Hopefully, inundation can be quickly resolved," he stated.
