Stove Explosion, 15 Houses in Pademangan Burnt

A massive fire triggered by stove explosion has destroyed 15 homes at Jalan Pademangan 4, RT 01/10, Pademangan Timur Urban Village, Pademangan Sub-District, North Jakarta. Fire broke out at 8 PM, and managed to be extinguished within 2 hours. There is no casualty reported in the incident, yet the loss reaches Rp 1.5 billion.

Temporary allegation, fire is triggered by stove explosion from one home

Based on the information gathered, the stove was exploded from one of rented houses. At that time, the flames kept enlarging and burned 15 houses.

David Zulkarnaen, Fireman of North Jakarta Fire and Disaster Handling Sub-Department, disclosed that fire incident has caused 15 households or 60 people lost their homes.

"Many flammable materials inside the buildings thus fire rapidly enlarging. We also had difficulties to put out the flames due to unavailable of water sources at the scene," he expressed, Friday (9/19) night.

At 10 PM, firemen managed to control the situation after deploying 19 fire trucks to the scene. "Temporary allegation, fire is triggered by stove explosion from one home," he stated.
