The Jagakarsa Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Executing Unit, South Jakarta is repairing water channels and collapsed sheet piles at eleven points since Monday (1/13). It aims to anticipate high rainfall which is expected to hit Jakarta until February.

Channel repair is targeted to be complete in a month and two weeks for sheet pile

To conduct it, as many as 25 personnel assisted 13 personnel of South Jakarta SDA Sub-agency have been sent to the location.

"It is carried out on Jalan Kramat, Jagakarsa Urban Village; Jalan Masjid Al Baroqah, Srengseng Sawah Urban Village; Jalan Timbul and Jalan Purwa, Cipedak Urban Village; and Jalan Nila, Ciganjur Urban Village," disclosed Jagakarsa Executing Unit Head, Erna, Tuesday (1/14).

Meanwhile, repair and maintenance of sheet pile is executed on the Cabang Tengah River on Jalan M Kahfi 1 and Baru River on Jalan Buku Dikrama, Srengseng Sawah Urban Village, on Cabang Tengah River on Jalan Cipedak, Jalan Sibi and Gg. Setiabudi and Jalan Montong.

"Channel repair is targeted to be complete in a month and two weeks for sheet pile. As for the collapsed sheet pile is just anticipation that is by installing dolken wood and sandbags," she closed.
