March, Elevators at Pasar Minggu and Daan Mogot JPOs Operated

Its progress has touched 60 percent and will be completed soon

The Jakarta Bina Marga Agency Head Hari Nugroho targets to operate the elevators at the Pasar Minggu Crossing Bridge (JPO) and Daan Mogot JPO in the forthcoming March.

According to him, the elevator on the side of the Pasar Minggu JPO market has been completed, while the elevator on the side of the station is under construction. Likewise with the elevator at Daan Mogot JPO is only awaiting the other side to be completed.

"Its progress has touched 60 percent and will be completed soon," he expressed, Friday (1/17).

After they are finished, the Manpower and Energy Agency would conduct a check to obtain a Certificate of Eligibility.

"Those elevators have 1,000 kg capacity or the equivalent of 13 people. They are made to provide convenience for the elderly, disabled people and pregnant women," he stated.

As for the information, despite the elevator is not yet available, the bridges, which are built with a futuristic, feel and accentuating local wisdom can be used using manual stairs.

These bridges began construction in February 2019. They will be completed with closed circuit television (CCTV) connected to Jakarta Smart City.
