Pejalan Kaki Apresiasi Keberadaan JPO Pasar Minggu

Residents Appreciate the Existence of Pasar Minggu JPO

The revitalization of the pedestrian crossing bridge (JPO) on Jalan Raya Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, received appreciation by many. Moreover, the design of the bridge beautifies the area.

The place is very modern and still has cultural characteristics

As stated by Firmansyah (25), a citizen of RT 03/02 Pasar Minggu Urban Village, he expressed, the bridge makes it easy for people to cross from and will go to Pasar Minggu Train Station.

"All this time, we had to break through traffic jam from Ragunan to the station or vice versa. This is dangerous, as we often run into vehicles that are in the opposite direction," he expressed, when being interviewed at the bridge, Tuesday (1/14).

He also praised the bridge design in terms of art. Betawi flavor is very thick with yellow and green colors and is packaged in a modern design, thus pedestrians want to take selfies.

"The place is very modern and still has cultural characteristics. It is very instagramable, and very suitable for selfies to be uploaded to social media," he added.

Similar statement also comes out from Wulan (24), a citizen of Depok City who works in Pasar Minggu area. She assessed, the bridge is the access needed by pedestrians.

"Because I travel using train, this public facility make it very easy for me to cross the road. Hopefully we can maintain it well, do not let the iron missing," he stated.

As for the information, its revitalization was completed by the end of December 2019 through Jakarta Bina Marga Agency.
