City Secretary Saefullah, monitored three infiltration wells in RT 11/09, Srengseng Sawah Urban Village, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta, on Sunday (19/1).

According to him, these wells were very important in order to anticipate inundation and flooding when it rains.
"This is a form of collaboration between the city government with the South Jakarta Water Resources Sub-agency, as well as local people to make infiltration well. Surely we need it," he expressed.

He urged the residents to independently make an infiltration well independently.
"Alhamdulillah today we already have 10 wells in RW 09. Hopefully this is the beginning for the construction of other wells," he exclaimed.
South Jakarta Mayor Marullah Matali explained that infiltration well was used as an example for locals to save water, as the benefits come back again for them.
"This area is indeed prone to inundation, so we're targeting 100 wells in each urban village every year," he stressed.
