Thousand Islands Estimated to Be Crowded with Visitors on Chinese New Year Holiday

Thousand Islands is estimated to be crowded with visitors on Chinese New Year, January 25.

We estimated around 5,000 people who would visit Thousand Islands on Chinese New Year holiday

Thousand Islands Tourism and Creative Economy Sub-department Head, Puji Astuti stated, her side estimates an increase in visitors is not only because of the holiday, but also new tourist destination and selfie spots in Thousand Islands, especially on inhabited islands.

"We estimated around 5,000 people who would visit Thousand Islands on Chinese New Year holiday," she said, Tuesday (1/21).

Although her side predicts a surge in visitors, her side admitted that there is no special event held during Chinese New Year in Thousand Islands. But her side reminds home stay owners to be prepared by providing their best service and facilities for the visitors.

"We are not preparing any special events on Chinese New Year, but we remind the home stay owners to give their best service for the visitors thus they feel comfort and safe," she conveyed.
