The PT Jakarta MRT and the National Agency for Search and Relief (BNPP) through the Jakarta Search and Relief Office, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) related to the improvement of human resource competencies in the context of conducting search and rescue operations.

This signing conducted by PT MRT Jakarta's Operation and Maintenance Operation Head Muhammad Effendi and BNPP Head Hendra Sudirman was witnessed by PT MRT Jakarta Director William Sabandar and BNPP's Preparedness Director Didi Hamzar.

PT MRT Jakarta Holds Public Discussion

"As a transportation service operator, safety and security aspects are the main things. To anticipate disasters and emergency situations, PT MRT Jakarta assisted by the Jakarta Search and Rescue Office seeks to equip each personnel for emergency response in terms of search and rescue," expressed PT MRT Jakarta Director William Sabandar after witnessing the signing at Lebak Bulus Depot, Cilandak, South Jakarta, Thursday (1/23).

BNPP's Preparedness Director Didi Hamzar disclosed the focus of training for Jakarta's PT MRT HR would be emergency response to earthquake and flood disasters.

"Hopefully this proportional and professional synergy can minimize risks and help SAR work in the future. This cooperation will be valid for the next three years," he stated.
