Personnel Standby on Jalan Matraman Raya to Prevent Illegal Parking

200 joint personnel deployed on Jalan Matraman Raya, Jatinegara, East Jakarta, Monday (1/27), to prevent illegal parking and street vendors (PKL)s from trading along the road.

Starting today, Jalan Matraman Raya is sterile from PKL and illegal parking

After conducting assembly at East Jakarta Resort Police Office's yard, hundreds of personnel were deployed to prevent illegal parking and PKLs who use the sidewalk and roadside for their space to trade.

East Jakarta Satpol PP Head, Budi Novian conveyed, joint personnel consisting of Satpol PP, Transportation Sub-department, sub-district, urban village, together with TNI/Polri were deployed to enforce Regional Regulation (Perda) No. 8/2007 about Public Order.

"Starting today, Jalan Matraman Raya is sterile from PKL and illegal parking. We will guard this place and expect all sides to comply with the regulations," he asserted.

East Jakarta Transportation Sub-department Head, Benhard Hutajulu added, his side has installed No Parking and No Stopping signs along Jalan Matraman Raya.

"Be sure to park your vehicles on parking lot that has been provided. We have cooperated with management of mall that is located in this area to provide parking spaces," he explained.

Meanwhile, his side will also deploy 10 personnel to prevent vehicles from parking illegally along the road.
