During CFD, Satpol PP Applies Zoning System for PKL

Jakarta Pamong Praja Police Unit (Satpol PP) applies three zoning system for street vendors during Car Free Day (CFD).

During CFD, we deploy 1,150 personnel to guard

According to Satpol PP Law Enforcement and Prosecution Department Head, Budhy Novian, those three zones are red, yellow, and green zones.

Red Zone is prohibited for PKL to trade which is from Sarinah to Sudirman Statue, along Jalan KH Wahid Hasyim (on the right side) and Sarinah-Bawaslu (left side) until Sudirman Statue.

"Red zone means sterile from every activities that can disturb people who want to exercise in CFD," he told, Friday (11/21).

Meanwhile, yellow zone is available for trading, but limited. This zone is divided in two areas. First is from Sarinah intersection to Arjuna Wiwaha Statue, then second is from in fron to BNI 46 to Youth Advancement Monument.

"Yellow zone is available for trading but limited," he expressed.

Green zone, he continued, is provided for PKLs to trade. This zone is provided in nine locations and guarded by Satpol PP personnel to prevent PKL from trading outside the zone.

"During CFD, we deploy 1,150 personnel to guard along Jalan Sudirman until Jalan Thamrin, start from Arjuna Wiwaha Statue until Youth Advancement Monument," he informed.

He ensured Satpol PP to do their jobs optimally in accordance to Pergub No. 12/2016 to guard, secure, control any public order violations, and integrate between SKPDs and institutions.

"We will be consistent in guarding the zones to ensure CFD area is more comfort to people to do exercise while improving air quality," he mentioned.
