SDA Dredges Channel in Front of Tomang Market

Grogol Petamburan Water Resources (SDA) Unit, West Jakarta dredged channel located in front of Tomang Market, Jalan Tanjung Duren Raya.

Until now we have collected 1,600 sacks full of mud from the channel

Grogol Petamburan SDA Unit Head, Yusuf Kasim explained, this dredging is done to solve inundation that often occurs in front of Tomang Market. Besides, this channel can't be functioned optimally because full of mud.

"Mud thickness reaches 100 centimeters. Until now we have collected 1,600 sacks full of mud from the channel," he informed, Thursday (1/30).

For this dredging, his side deployed 15 personnel to clean channel as long as 350 meters with width 80 centimeters and depth 120 meters. His side targets to finish dredging the channel on mid of February 2020.

"We clean the channel until in fr ont of Tanjung Duren Sport Center (GOR). Our prediction is to finish it within two weeks," he asserted.
