SDA Repairs Jalan Dr. Saharjo Channel's Retaining Wall

South Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-department repairs collapsed channel's retaining wall that is located in front of car showroom, Jalan Dr. Saharjo, Menteng Dalam, Tebet. This repair is estimated to finish in a month.

Temporarily, we install 60 dolken wood piles on the damaged part while we are repairing it

South Jakarta SDA Sub-department Head, Mustajab mentioned, channel's retaining wall collapsed due to high intensity rain since early 2020 that caused erosion.

"Every day we deploy 15 personnel and 2 units of dump truck to transport piles of dolken woods. They work every day from 8 AM and 4 PM," he informed, Wednesday (1/22).

According to him, this retaining wall's height is around 3 meters with length 34 meters. Currently tens personnel repair the damaged part of the wall and install sand sacks to hold the water during the repair.

"Temporarily, we install 60 dolken wood piles on the damaged part while we are repairing it. Besides, we also dredge sand from the channel and put it into sacks to hold the water," he explained.

His side is targeting this repair to complete as soon as possible.

"Our target is to finish the repair until the next three-four weeks. Importantly, we need to finish it within this month," he asserted.
