West Jakarta Sudinhub Continues to Find a Way to Unravel Congestion Near SPBB

Traffic congestion often occurs near Sentra Primer Baru Barat (SPBB) or West Jakarta Mayor Office, Kembangan, due to high mobility around the location.

We want Transportation Sub-department to study the area to ensure whether one-way system (SSA) could be applied or not

West Jakarta Mayor, Rustam Effendi asked Transportation Sub-department to apply traffic engineering in SPBB area in order to unravel the congestion, especially in rush hour and on the weekend.

"We want them to study the area to ensure whether one-way system (SSA), whether it can be applied or not. I want the result this year," he asserted, Tuesday (2/4).

Citizens are Urged to Use the Designated Official Terminals

Meanwhile, West Jakarta Sudinhub Head, Erwansyah explained, his side has implemented several traffic engineering to reduce the congestion. One of them is closing the exit gate of West Mayor office. But it is not quite effective because no shortcut that can be used for route diversion.

"We will continue the study, while waiting for the completion of land acquisition that later will be used as the shortcut, similar to the road besides Mayor Office," he stated.
