Some 10 Karang Taruna youth group members underwent barista training at Santa Market, Petogogan Urban Village, Kebayoran Baru Sub-district, on Thursday (2/13).

Its training given was knowledge about coffee, espresso coffee making methods, manual brewing methods, introduction of coffee brewing tools, and types of coffee.

Before starting a coffee business, every person needs to know things that are the key to successful coffee business. The problem often faced by coffee business beginners was the lack of knowledge about the quality of coffee and the ability to mix coffee according to consumer tastes.
Jakarta KPKP Agency's Agriculture Division Head Mujiati added that it would be held twice in a month with the target of the younger generation or millennial.
"For those of you who are interested in participating in the activity, you can submit it to the Jakpreneur in each sub-district," he told.
While one of Karang Taruna members from Bintaro Urban Village, Pesanggrahan Sub-district Dimas Dwi Putra positively welcomed barista training and coffee introduction.
"This can add insight for those who want to open a coffee business and work as a barista," he stated.
