Thousand Islands BPS Starts to Socialize Online Population Census

Thousand Islands Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) gave socialization to Thousand Islands Civil Apparatuses (ASN) regarding population census 2020 that will be carried out online. This socialization was done at Regency Office's Hall, Pramuka Island, North Thousand Islands.

It is important for database and other administrative requirements related to population data

Thousand Islands BPS Head, Puji Mahastuti conveyed, this year, online population census is carried out from February 15 to March 31.

"Later, ASN will continue this socialization to the locals. We hope residents can participate actively in this census process," she stated, Monday (2/17).

BPD to Hold Local Tax Census for Six Months

According to her, population census is done in two stages, first is via online, then second is via offline that will be done on July 1-31, 2020.

"This census aims to provide data on population, composition, distribution, and characteristics of Indonesian population towards one data for the purposes of population projection," she explained.

Meanwhile, Thousand Islands Vice Regent, Junaedi instructed urban village and sub-district heads, as well as regional administrators to socialize residents further regarding population census implementation.

"It is important for database and other administrative requirements related to population data," he asserted.
