South Jakarta Has 611 Waste Banks

South Jakarta Government announced there are total 611 waste banks located in all sub-districts in South Jakarta.

Until now, there are around 379 waste banks that have collaborated with Central Waste Bank (BSI)

For information, 58 waste banks are located in Kebayoran Baru, 63 waste banks in Kebayoran Lama, 70 waste banks in Pesanggrahan, 52 waste banks in Cilandak, 57 waste banks in Pasar Minggu, 92 waste banks in Jagakarsa, 66 waste banks in Mampang Prapatan, 49 waste banks in Pancoran, 56 waste banks in Tebet, and 48 waste banks in Setiabudi.

South Jakarta Environment (LH) Sub-department Head, Mohammad Amin conveyed, those waste banks are located in schools, universities, government offices, settlements, health centers (puskesmas), state hospitals (RSUD), companies, houses of worship, public open space, and tourism sites.

Waste Bank at South Jakarta Gulkarmat Office is Ready to Operate

"Until now, there are around 379 waste banks that have collaborated with Central Waste Bank (BSI). While the other 232 are still on progress," he said, Wednesday (3/11).

His side is committed to ensure waste bank's activities running well. While for monitoring will be done by mentors from RW to urban village levels.

"Seeing many people who want to contribute in this program make us thrilled to socialize people about waste sorting," he conveyed.
