Supervision System towards Coronavirus in Thousand Islands is Tightened

All people must be checked for body temperature, either on the resort or residential islands

The supervision system towards people who want to enter and leave Thousand Islands began to be tightened in anticipation of the coronavirus spread.

Thousand Islands Health Sub-agency Head Herwin Meifendi said medical officers have been alerted at several ports such as, Marina Ancol, Kali Adem, Tanjung Pasir and Rawasaban Tanggerang. They enforce a body temperature check to ship passengers heading to the islands region.

"We continue to make prevention efforts. All people must be checked for body temperature, either on the resort or residential islands," he asserted, Monday (3/16).

Until today, the islands are still safe from the coronavirus.

"We appreciate the city's efforts to close the Onrust Island temporarily as a historical tourism island and hopes that it can also be done in tourist sites of settlement islands to stop access to the spread of the coronavirus," he concluded.
