Grogol Petamburan (Gropet) Sub-district civil apparatuses distributed 100 food packages to lower middle class society who were affected economically by coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

Today, we have provided 100 food packages for them

Gropet Sub-district Head, Didit Sumaryanta mentioned, local civil apparatuses used part of their income to buy food packages and distributed it to people who work in informal sectors, such as online motorcycle taxi drivers and others.

"Today, we have provided 100 food packages for them. We will distribute it door-to-door to prevent people from gathering," he stated, Monday (4/13).

He hoped this assistance could reduce the economic impact which experienced by workers, especially those who earn daily income. His side couldn't ensure how long this food assistance can be given because it depends on the donations collected.

"It is one of our concern for the local residents," he said.
