44,727 Families in North Jakarta Targeted to Receive Assistance

During Large-scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) implementation in North Jakarta, local government is targeted to distribute food assistance to 44,727 families in four urban villages.

North Jakarta Vice Mayor, Ali Maulana explained, there are 44,727 packages that will be distributed for 12,386 families in 12 RWs in Pademangan Barat Urban Village; 11,306 families in 19 RWs in Tugu Utara Urban Village; 10,818 families in 17 RWs in Semper Barat Urban Village; and 10,217 families in 18 RWs in Lagoa Urban Village.
"Recently, we are still focusing on distributing these assistance, especially to the residents in needs based on data that we have collected," he said, Monday (4/13).

His side ensured to verify whether the targeted residents are capable or not to meet their needs during PSBB. If they are considered able to meet their daily necessities, then assistance will be prioritized for those who need more assistance.
Based on report from urban villages, his side admitted, there are several poor residents who haven't been registered yet as the assistance recipients. Thus he instructed urban village administrators to collect their data and submit it to the provincial level.
"Surely, they will be selected at provincial level because only those who pass the criteria can receive the assistance at the second phase of assistance distribution," he closed.
