More Road Users Comply with PSBB Regulations

Entering the sixth day of Large-scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) implementation in Jakarta, more vehicle users comply with the Gubernatorial Regulation (Pergub) No.33/2020 concerning PSBB Implementation.

The community is starting to realize and want to follow the health protocols in an effort to prevent COVID-19 spread

It was seen from several checkpoints in Jakarta border areas, such as checkpoint on Jalan Raya Bogor, Pekayon, Pasar Rebo. At this checkpoint, officers check one by one the vehicles from Depok and Bogor before entering Jakarta.

Cipayung Sector Police Traffic Unit Chief, AKP Anton Budiarto assessed, more people who are aware and willing to comply with PSBB regulations and health protocols. It was seen from increasing number of two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles users who use face mask.

In this monitoring, his side only reminds road users to comply with PSBB regulations. There were 30 personnel from TNI, Police, Satpol PP, East Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency, and Gulkarmat Sub-agency involved in this monitoring.

Pasar Rebo Sub-district Deputy Head, Santoso mentioned, number of vehicles crossing on Jalan Raya Bogor continues to decline. Moreover, suburb areas of Jakarta have also implemented PSBB for the next 14 days.

"Checkpoints are still guarded for 24 hours. Not only monitoring PSBB implementation, but also to prevent crime," he added.

In each checkpoints, officers are on standby within two shifts, 6 AM - 6 PM and 6 PM - 6 AM.

"Until now, we haven't found any gross violations during monitoring in checkpoint areas," he informed.
