PSBB in Jakarta, Number of MRT Passengers Decreases to 90 Percent

The effect of Large-scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) which implemented since Friday (4/10) has created significant decrease in number of passengers of MRT Jakarta up to 90 percent.

It means, it has been declined to 90 percent

PT. MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) President Director, William Sabandar noted, there is significant decrease in number of passengers on Friday (4/10) that reached 1,404 passengers, while a day before reached 7,158 passengers.

On Saturday (4/11), it reached 2,014 passengers and continued to decline on Sunday (4/12) with total 1,350 passengers.

MRT Continues to Socialize Use of Masks for its Customers

"It means, it has been declined to 90 percent because before COVID-19 outbreak, number of passengers in average could reach 90-100 thousand passengers a day," he stated, on Monday (4/13).

For total passengers on Monday (4/13), MRT couldn't calculate it yet because interview was conducted while MRT train was operating.

"I really appreciate those who have participated in supporting the prevention of COVID-19 transmission. We hope people to use MRT only for urgent matters," he conveyed.

He believed, by doing activities at home, people can break the chain of COVID-19 transmission.

"Our focus for now is to support government in the efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19 while ensuring to give our best service to the passengers," he closed.
