2,320 Vehicles in South Jakarta Violate PSBB Regulations

As many as 2,320 vehicles in South Jakarta have violated the regulations of Large-scale Social Restrictions (PSBB).

This data has been collected from April 10-14

South Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency (Sudinhub) Head, Budi Setiawan conveyed, it consists of 1,104 two-wheeled vehicles and 1,216 four-wheeled vehicles.

"For four-wheeled vehicles, there are 741 private cars, 376 public transport fleets, and 99 freight cars. This data has been collected from April 10-14," he explained, Wednesday (4/15).

PSBB Monitoring at Tanjung Priok Terminal Intensified

From the first day of PSBB, he mentioned, number of violations had decreased from 548 to 340 violators per day. However, it increased again by 458 violators on Tuesday (4/14).

According to him, mostly the violators were two-wheeled riders who have different domicile address from passengers. While four-wheeled riders were mostly carry the passengers beyond the capacity.

"It has been clear in the regulations that four-wheeled vehicles can be only be boarded with maximum three people for two-row seats, and four people maximum for three-row seats. Beyond that is against the regulation," he explained.

His side carried out monitoring which centered in 3 checkpoints including  Jalan Pasar Jumat, Jalan Cileduk Raya, and Jalan Komjen Pol Jasin.

"We also get assistance from TNI and Polri. Total 65 joint personnel in three checkpoints," he said.
