COVID-19 Affecting Ramadan Traditions in Thousand Islands

The Thousand Islands Technical Working Unit (UKT) 2 had to close grave pilgrimage traditions at all public cemeteries (TPU) on settlement islands in Thousand Islands, specifically on Karya Island, North Thousand Islands.

No grave pilgrimage activities until an unspecified time limit

It refers to the rules of large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) in order to contain the spread of COVID-19.

"No grave pilgrimage activities until an unspecified time limit. This is for the health and common good," expressed Thousand Islands UKT 2 Head, Sofyan, Thursday (4/23).
