Prevention of COVID-19 Keeps being Socialized to Citizens Massively

We do it by driving cars and motorbikes to reach residential areas on narrow streets

Jakarta Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Agency does not stop socializing and educating citizens about the danger and prevention of COVID-19 transmission in Jakarta.

"We do it by driving cars and motorbikes to reach residential areas on narrow streets. With a megaphone, we remind them to stay at home, often wash their hands, wear masks when leaving the house, keep their distance and avoid the crowds," said Jakarta Gulkarmat Agency Head, Satriadi Gunawan, Monday (4/27).

At the same time, officers also remind them about the importance of fire prevention efforts by ensuring there are no gas leaks, not leaving the stove when it is on and using electrical equipment in accordance with applicable standards.

"It is done massively in 44 sub-districts, including in Thousand Islands," he explained.

By so, it is expected to contain the spread of COVID-19 and to prevent fires that usually increase in frequency during Ramadan.

"Hopefully the public's awareness will also be higher, either in relation to prevention of COVID-19 dredging or fires," he hoped.
