Karma Beach, New Tourism Spot in Lancang Island

In the midst of COVID-19 pandemic, PPSU and PJLP of Pari Island Urban Village, South Thousand Islands keep working to realize new tourism spot with an area of one hectare called Karma Beach on Lancang Island.

After the situation gradually recovered, we hope this area can be the tourism icon for Lancang Island

Pari Island Urban Village Head, Mahtum explained, the name Karma is the abbreviation for 'Karya Bersama' or joint work. Because this place was created from joint work between local residents together with Pari Island Urban Village PPSU and PJLP personnel.

It is located on the northern side of Lancang Island, near Rainbow Bridge and Rainbow Hill. This place is quite attractive with its beautiful white sand and trees.

City Extends Closing Period of Tourism Business Operational Activities Until April 19

"We install gazebo, benches, camping ground, mangrove park, and sunset spot," he added, Wednesday (4/29).

During PSBB period, he continued, Karma Beach can not be visited by tourists yet. However, the locals still can enjoy the sunset in this area while being watched by Satpol PP officers.

"After the situation gradually recovered, we hope this area can be the tourism icon for Lancang Island that could bring tourists," he stated.
