January-March, 20 Dengue Cases Occurred in Thousand Islands

From January until March 2020, there are 20 dengue (DBD) cases in Thousand Islands.

There were no DBD cases in Thousand Islands on the same period last year

From total 22 cases, Thousand Islands Health Sub-agency Head, Herwin Meifendi explained, 12 DBD cases were happened in January, 7 cases in February, and 1 case in March.

"Total 20 cases in January-March period. There were no DBD cases in Thousand Islands on the same period last year," he mentioned. Thursday (4/30).

Commission E Asked Health Agency to Anticipate Dengue Fever

He informed, 19 cases occurred in North Thousand Islands Sub-district and 1 case in South Thousand Island Sub-district.

In order to suppress DBD cases, his side continues to remind local administrators to carry out fogging more frequently, anticipating wiggler, applying 3M (to drain, cover, and bury), and performing communal work to clean the environment.

"In the emergency situation of COVID-19, we encourage the residents to do PSN (mosquito nest eradication) independently in our house and environment," he conveyed.
