Illegal Buildings under Krapu Bridge will Be Demolished

Bahari Museum management requests for dozens of semi-permanent buildings stood atop the bank of Krukut River, Penjaringan, North Jakarta, or precisely under Krapu Bridge, to be demolished. This is because the existence of those buildings, which located right across the museum, has ruined the view of the museum.

Based on beritajakarta.com observations, most of the illegal buildings are occupied by scavengers. Actually, North Jakarta Administration has demolished those buildings tens of times, but the squatters always returned and built buildings at the same place because the location is not maintained.

Head of Bahari Museum Education and Exhibition Section, Irfal Guci, urges related unit to immediately demolish and arrange the bank of Krukut River. Besides to make tourists comfortable, such effort would also beautify the face of the city.
