Elevator at Pegangsaan Dua LRT Station Equipped with Foot Switch Technology

PT. LRT Jakarta starts to apply foot switch for its elevator unit in LRT station. Foot switch technology facilitates elevator's users to control the elevator by stepping on the pedal. It is applied to prevent COVID-19 transmission in the station.

LRT Jakarta applies foot switch technology

PT. LRT Jakarta General Manager Corporate Secretary, Arnold Kindangen said, his side starts to apply this technology at Pegangsaan Dua Station.

"LRT Jakarta applies foot switch technology. As we know, elevator button is one of places with many viruses and bacteria since it is often touched by hands," he conveyed, Wednesday (5/13).

According to him, it is very easy to use the foot switch. Elevator users just need to step on the food switch pedal and choose the floor they want to go.

"At LRT station, passengers don't need to press the elevator button, but only step on the pedal. It is one of our efforts to prevent COVID-19 transmission," he explained.
