Jakarta Satpol PP Head, Arifin mentioned, violations were dominated by residents who gathered and didn't wear mask outside.

"10 violators in North Jakarta, 19 violators in South Jakarta, and 6 violators in Central Jakarta. They wear orange vest that read 'PSBB Violators' and punished for cleaning roads, parks, and public facilities. Our side has provided the cleaning tools," he explained, Thursday (5/14).

According to him, his side imposed sanctions as mentioned in Gubernatorial Regulations (Pergub) No. 41/2020 concerning Sanctions Imposition Against Violations in PSBB Implementation in Handling COVID-19 in DKI Jakarta.

"Through social sanctions, we want to give deterrent effect for PSBB violators. Because we want COVID-19 pandemic to end as soon as possible," he asserted.

Actually, his side don't want many people being punished. For this reason, residents are expected to comply with PSBB regulations, including to wear mask when leaving house.

"Sanctions are imposed to provide legal certainty for the community. We will continue to patrol and control PSBB violators. Government has distributed free masks so there is no reason for them not to wear mask," he closed.
