City Legislators Support Pergub No. 41/2020

Jakarta Council (DPRD) Commission C Legislator, Khoirudin supports city for imposing administrative sanctions for business owners who break the Large-scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) regulations as mentioned in Gubernatorial Regulation (Pergub) No. 41/2020.

Restaurants that are not applying take away system should be controlled

This policy is considered appropriate to be applied during COVID-19 pandemic in order to stop its transmission.

"We should follow the health protocols in order to end this pandemic soon. Restaurants that are not applying take away system should be controlled to prevent COVID-19 transmission," he explained, Thursday (5/14).

Regency Intensifies Socialization Regarding Sanctions for PSBB Violators

He expects the administrative sanctions can give deterrent effect for business owners or community who are not obeying the PSBB regulations.

Other legislator from Commission A, Dwi Rio Sambodo also conveyed that city needs to make sure the sanctions can be imposed objectively and adjusted to the PSBB period.

"This Pergub is great to be applied, but it should be dynamic based on the existing situation. Importantly, health protocols should be prioritized and implemented in a disciplined manner," he asserted.
