Social Sanctions Imposed for PSBB Violators in West Jakarta

West Jakarta Satpol PP intensifies monitoring and controlling towards violations of Large-scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) regulations. On the second phase of PSBB, Satpol PP stated to give social sanctions as mentioned at Gubernatorial Regulation (Pergub) No. 41/2020 concerning Sanctions Imposition Against Violations in PSBB Implementation in Handling COVID-19 in DKI Jakarta

We impose social work sanctions and written warnings to 22 violators

West Jakarta Satpol PP's PPNS and Prosecution Section Head, Ivand Sigiro stated, in the monitoring in Kembangan and Cengkareng Sub-districts, his side still found many residents who didn't wear mask and gathered in one place thus his side gave them sanctions.

"We impose social work sanctions and written warnings to 22 violators because they don't wear masks and gather in one place," he explained, Friday (5/15).

As soon as the Jakarta Government completes the cloth mask distribution, his side will fine the citizens who do not wear masks.

"For now, we only give them social sanctions. But when the mask distribution is complete, we will impose administrative fines from Rp 100,000 to Rp 250,000," he asserted.
